So far, the day had been good. Peter would almost go as far to say perfect.

He’d woken up in full control. Always a plus. He’d heard a few brief words from Seth whilst he was making toast, a few jibes and encouragements to watch his latest stunts on YouTube and then, incredibly, he’d faded a little earlier than usual and now? There was just silence.


About time. He slung his pack onto his shoulder, heading out the door and towards midtown. He had his camera and his chemistry books and figured he may as well make the best of the increasingly good weather somewhere outside.

He ignored the odd sense of de ja vu as he rounded a corner. That usually just meant Seth had been around the same area recently and his body somehow remembered it. As he walked, he snapped the occasional picture, not really focusing on where he was going, content to enjoy and savor the silence.
